SafeSlope Consulting offers three service tiers designed to meet ski areas where they are: an initial operations and readiness assessment, a detailed transition and implementation planning product, and ongoing advisory support during execution. This structure provides clear decision points, practical planning, and experienced guidance as conditions and needs evolve.

Services

Tier 1: Operations & Readiness Assessment

This assessment is designed for ski areas that are experiencing operational strain, considering growth, or facing a significant change. It provides a focused, fixed-scope assessment of mountain and patrol operations, staffing and coverage, facilities, and risk and response systems. It is used early, before capital is committed or operational changes are made. Giving leadership clear, actionable insight into readiness, constraints, and deal-breakers. The goal is to reduce uncertainty and help stakeholders confidently determine whether and how to move forward. Learn More.

Tier 2: Operations Transition & Implementation Planning

This service tier supports ski areas that have decided to move forward with a change and need a realistic plan to do so safely and sustainably. It translates goals into a phased operational roadmap that addresses staffing models, training pipelines, facilities needs, risk management systems, and seasonal integration. It is used after a decision to proceed but before execution begins, when sequencing and clarity matter most. The purpose is to prevent operational breakdowns, align expectations across leadership and staff, and provide a practical path from intent to implementation. Learn More.

Tier 3: Ongoing Operations Advisory/Owner’s Rep

For resort leadership teams actively executing operational changes who want experienced, independent guidance during implementation. It provides ongoing advisory support and/or owner’s-representative oversight to help manage timing, coordination, and operational risk without assuming management authority. It is used during construction seasons, operational transitions, or periods of sustained change. The objective is to keep projects and operations aligned with original intent, support sound decision-making in real time, and reduce the likelihood of costly or avoidable failures. Learn More.
