Tier 3 is designed for ski areas that are ready to actively implement operational changes and want experienced, independent guidance throughout execution. This service supports leadership teams during periods of transition, construction, or program rollout—when decisions are frequent, conditions change, and the consequences of missteps are highest. It is particularly valuable when internal teams are stretched and benefit from an external perspective experienced in mountain operations.

This engagement provides ongoing advisory support and owner’s-representative oversight without assuming management authority. I work alongside leadership to review plans, assess readiness at key milestones, identify emerging risks, and help maintain alignment between operational intent and day-to-day realities. Support may include seasonal readiness reviews, staffing and coverage check-ins, coordination with project teams and vendors, and guidance on integrating winter and summer operations, including bike parks.

The outcome of a Tier 3 engagement is steadier execution and reduced operational risk. Leadership gains a trusted advisor who helps anticipate issues, pressure-test decisions, and keep projects and operational changes moving forward in a practical, defensible way.

Common Triggers for Ongoing Advisory Support

  • Active execution of patrol or operations restructuring

  • Construction or infrastructure projects affecting operations

  • Launch or expansion of summer operations or a bike park

  • Leadership or staffing transitions during implementation

  • Desire for independent oversight without adding headcount

  • Need for periodic, impartial input as conditions evolve

  • Concern about maintaining safety, consistency, and intent during change
